Hi All
We have added a "Making Tax Digital" or MTD category in the forum so that members can share posts, information and hints and tips about the forthcoming MTD in the UK which if looking like it will make very significant changes to the level of record keeping required.
At present it is looking like a problem as there is not much software out there that is MTD compliant yet and the Government has vastly over estimated how people and companies will be able to cope with MTD hence even the Government constantly keeps failing even its own deadlines and planned pilots etc etc.
Overly ambitious jobsworth came up with MTD no doubt now many many businesses are about to be affected from 1 April 2019 most of whom are nowhere near ready or have even heard of MTD.
Software innovation to be able to cope has been slow.
Problems on the horizon quite possibly for many.
The challenge is how does a business and their accountant work within MTD cost effectively, time efficiently and while complying with new rules!
