Evening all,

Not posted for a while but I thought it might be useful for other forum users and members to have a few links to historical exchange rate data online.

I always used to use for this but there premium subscription service for this now makes this expensive if you want to go back more than six months which you often do.

So I did a bit of looking around and would welcome any others posts about other suggestions for this.

firstly there is an article on the ICAEW website about suggestions of where to go for historical exchange rate data

Fro that as I was looking for a .csv downloadable file of USD Dollar to GBP Pounds the Bank of Englands spot exchange rate history I found was just waht I needed.

Any useful tips for other rechange rate information welcomed as this would then be a very useful forum thread...

There is the HMRC exchange rate section on the website.

That link also has the link to the HMRC average exchange rates and spot rates for tax years often used for tax returns etc.

These can be viewed online or downloaded as .csv files.
